Green Turtle released on Central Coast
Tuesday, October 15, 2013
In June a juvenile female green turtle was found in the mud flats at St Hubert’s island in the central coast of Sydney. It was undernourished and exhausted. Narelle and Georgia from Green Cross Vet, Wyoming took care of the turtle until WIRES volunteer, Pam could collect her and take her to the Taronga Wildlife Hospital for specialist care.
Pam from WIRES was able to release the young turtle off shore on the Central Coast on Monday. Here is a photo of the young female green turtle being released yesterday off the Central Coast.
