WIRES Welcomes Crucial Support from New Pet Insurance Brand Buddy
WIRES is proud to announce its partnership with Australia’s newest pet insurance provider, Buddy Pet Insurance, as part of the company’s Giving Program — a bold initiative supporting animal welfare, veterinary outreach, and wildlife care across the country.
Buddy’s Giving Program has already committed significant funding to key animal-focused organisations, including WIRES, WWF Australia, and Vets Beyond Borders. This generous support will help ensure more animals receive the urgent care they need — whether they’re injured in the wild, affected by climate events, or in need of emergency rescue.
“Every rescue counts – and support like this helps us provide care to native animals faster, especially in emergencies,” said Matthew Godwin, WIRES Emergency Response Manager. “We’re thrilled to be receiving support from Buddy to keep one of our Wildlife Ambulances on the road and saving lives.”
WIRES’ 24/7 wildlife rescue and rehabilitation network depends on the dedication of thousands of volunteers — and strong partnerships like this one. Funding from Buddy will go directly toward supporting frontline rescue operations, enhancing emergency response, and helping WIRES care for an ever-growing number of animals impacted by habitat loss, vehicle collisions, extreme weather, and urban development.
Buddy’s commitment reflects a growing awareness among Australian consumers: that protecting animals goes beyond pets in the home — it includes native wildlife and the people working tirelessly to save them.
WIRES is honoured to be one of Buddy’s founding Giving Program partners and looks forward to the long-term impact this partnership will create for Australia’s wildlife.
