WIRES Wildlife Training

WIRES offers a comprehensive range of wildlife training courses, including:

  • Several introductory courses for those wanting to join WIRES as a volunteer rescuer and/or carer, and species training for WIRES volunteers.

  • National online training courses suitable for authorised carers, wildlife rescue groups and industry professionals.

  • Governance courses to support wildlife rescue groups in NSW.

  • Online mammals course for those wanting to volunteer as a wildlife carer in Tasmania.

  • A free online community course available for families with younger children, and for those new to Australian wildlife.

WIRES has also created a Veterinary Training Hub for national veterinary professionals providing an extensive range of resources to assist with wildlife triage and treatment.
