Rescue and Immediate Care Course (RICC) Refresher
The RICC Refresher is designed to re-engage past members and students. It is only available to those who have previously completed the WIRES RICC and want to volunteer with WIRES to actively rescue and care for wildlife.
The course is available 100% online and does not include a workshop component.
Past WIRES members will only need to complete the RICC Refresher Course if it has been more than two years since your membership lapsed.

- Common Rescue Scenarios
- Safe Handling Techniques
Note: To actively volunteer with WIRES you must be over 18 and reside in an area where WIRES is licenced to rescue and care for wildlife by NSW National Parks and Wildlife. If you have any questions about your eligibility please email [email protected].
