Across Broken Hill and the Far West of NSW the newly formed WIRES Far West branch rescues sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife. The branch provides ongoing community wildlife information and education, and they proactively engage in local activities to help protect and preserve wildlife and wildlife habitat.
WIRES could not help the number of animals we do every year without our incredible volunteers. Every branch is always looking for more rescuers and carers, so please consider joining WIRES as a volunteer. You can also donate to the Far West Branch to support wildlife locally.
The Far West Branch is deeply grateful to RRANA for their 30 years of faithful service, and to local veterinary clinics. The branch also thanks the local community and businesses for their ongoing support of our wildlife work.
Each WIRES’ branch helps support significant biodiversity within their region. They are regularly working closely with local councils, schools, and other organisations, to identify opportunities to improve the welfare of native animals, and the long-term health of wild species populations.
