Over summer the number of orphaned joeys in care was overwhelming. WIRES volunteer, Belinda, was looking for a way to make the twice daily transfer of the joeys in her care a little easier – and quicker.
With a distance of nearly 150 metres between their daytime and night-time enclosures. All concerned were happy with the solution; a wheelbarrow helped reduce the number of trips required. Here are just some of the joeys, in transit to their night-time enclosure.
