Donate now to our Wildlife Ambulance AppealMany, if not most WIRES volunteers work in full or part-time work and this means many are not available to rescue wildlife during normal business hours. It is difficult for our volunteers, using their own vehicles, time and money to handle the volume of rescue requests we now receive.

The number of animals requiring assistance continues to grow and WIRES looked for ways to respond in an appropriate time frame to ensure the best results for injured wildlife.

We believe the introduction of our Wildlife Ambulances to the Sydney area is a major step forward.

Our ambulances are professionally managed by Barry and Mark, both long time WIRES members. Both are trained and experienced reptile handlers and are able to manage challenging situations. Their services will complement and assist our overworked volunteers.

It also means we are reducing the waiting time for Australian wildlife in distress.

While the wildlife ambulances are a wonderful addition to WIRES the cost involved is substantial for a small organsiation such as ours.

We would like to call on everyone who cares about wildlife and who can see the tremendous help these ambulances provide to our wildlife and our dedicated volunteers, to help us by donating to our WIRES Wildlife Ambulance Appeal. Donations can be made online via our secure donation facility.
